History

churchGethsemane Worship Center was organized in 1992 by Bishop Frederick and Elect Lady Felicia Williams, along with nine dedicated saints committed to building a ministry for the Lord.

Through rapid growth, Gethsemane has had five facilities during the past years -- from a one-room building that seated 40, to the present Garden Temple which seats 1,100.

Gethsemane has become a leading church in Albany and Southwest Georgia, with over 1,000 members on roll. She is soaring like an eagle.

We offer numerous ministries for growth and enjoyment on your Christian walk.

We are an Inter-denominational faith ministry, which means whosoever will, let him/her come.

In the community, we are known as The Keepers of the North Gate as we are located in the North region of town.

Gethsemane Worship Center is an interdenominational ministry.  The word interdenominational means "whosoever will, let him come."  Regardless of your background, we have tailored this ministry to meet a variety of needs.

We believe that God is the center of our lives and He exists in the blessed Trinity (The Father, Son and the Holy Spirit).

Gethsemane is a practical ministry of God's plan of the Fivefold Operation (Apostle, Pastor, Evangelist, Prophets and Teachers.)

We also believe that preaching is indispensable to Christianity. Without preaching, a necessary part of its authenticity has been lost.  For Christianity is, in its very essence, a religion of the word of God.

Our message is the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the gospel of the grace of God.  There is but one gospel, and it centers in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Our motive is to come together for encouragement, spiritual nourishment and discipline.

Our method is to minister through loving kindness as Jesus did in His ministry.

Our mission statement is to seek, save, shape, support and serve.

We pray that this brochure enlightens you to the ministry here at Gethsemane and that you will become a very active part of the body of Christ.
